The IT hub, as known to many is also gradually becoming famous because of its unique pub culture. Among these many specifications, lesser the people know about the lovely food culture of this beautiful city. Having said that, not mentioning the street food culture here, would be a dubious crime.

One can easily indulge into the mouthwatering cuisines, navigating mostly through some lesser known locations and exploring this gracious city. Trust me, you will literally find yourself devouring into some of these fine aromatic varieties forgetting about the luxurious seating arrangements, mostly expected from a good food place.

To add to the curiosity now, let’s explore some of the finest street food places in Bangalore.

V.V. Puram Food Street (aka Khao Galli)

The first and the foremost places to visit and relish the street food culture in Bangalore has to be the famous V.V. Puram Food Street in Bangalore, known to many as the ‘Khao Galli’. From different varieties of South Indian cuisines like Dosa, Idli, Vada, Bonda, Upma to North Indian wide variety of chats and sweets can be found in this place. The street generally opens after twilight and gets swarmed up with life till 11 p.m. in the night.

The spicy Masala Dosas and the Aloo Tikki Chats are to look out here for. Not to forget, everyone’s favorite Rose Gulkand from Shivanna Gulkand Centre and Congress Bun from V.B. Food streets in Koramangala

I am mentioning the food streets in Koramangala as a multiple options including the food street on the 8th block as well as the Eat street which came up in recently in 6th block. Being a resident of Koramangala and considering myself as a dedicated foodie, I do religiously visit these places constantly. Whereas ‘Eat Street’ has proper sitting arrangements with handout menus, the food street at 8th block gives you a proper taste and feel of street binging cuisines. 99 variety Dosa being the favorite among everyone, one can also check out the hot Steamed Momos over here. With varieties of ice creams stalls as well as thirst quenching coconut water and fresh sugarcane juice, this place is definitely one of the hot spots to check-in for street food lovers on a laid back Saturday/Sunday evening.

Bhukkad, Koramangala 4th Block

This 100% organic eat out joint with its unique recipes of salads, sandwiches and shakes is becoming one of the most loved street eating venture among the foodies. My personal favorites are the Oh-Riental Salad and the Smokey Joe Chicken Sandwich along with the freshly brewed Ice Tea. One can also check out their menu online as well and can get food delivered at their door step. This does not qualify in the street food category but I am including this place in the list as there is no sitting arrangement at the place and the joy of going there and placing the order with your choice of ingredients is quiet indulging. Bhukkad clicks among the latest food eating trends, as it boasts of healthy food with minimum waste and its daily-changing menu, is an add-on to the curiosity level.
