The green city. City of rains. Metal-capital. Music hub...wait! Hold on! Am i rushing into it too early or am i too late for it? I don't even know if i should address my beloved city with all these names anymore!

Let's find out the reason of this sad start.

2006, is the year, when i stepped in to this amazing wonderland. Shivering through my spines in my nervous teen spirit with the rain drops falling on me I wondered along this unknown venturing land.

Huge city for me as I hail from the north eastern part of our country, where the biggest city won't be even half the size of this new unexplored heaven for me. I mentioned heaven here, because it was at that point of my life. The fact being independent of the shackles we Indian kids have to carry around (not that i am disapproving of it) and the biggest joy i had within myself at that time. Its the music capital. I am going to see the BANDS, like 'The BANDS'. My dream come true for the rest of my life (yet almost).

I started my college days back in the year 2006 at National College, Jayanagar. I quiet liked the attention I was getting as the only guy from North East among all the other batchmates of mine. Adding to the hype, I used to play guitar at the college functions and ahem... people were going Ga- Ga over me. I have to mention here that I am quiet thankful to all my friends over here. Despite the fact that I am an outsider, I never felt like one because of the hospitality I got. Till date, I am still with in touch with them and we all meet often with the same enthusiasm.

Now lets start with the main topic.

Year 2006, December 17th, Cathedral Grounds, Bangalore. Deep Purple Live.

Oh My My! Have been listening to these legends since childhood and now I get to see them live. What an experience! My first major open air concert.

Year 2009, February 15th, Palace Grounds, Bangalore. Iron Maiden Live.

This was huge. Heavy Metal Legends and an inspiration for picking up my guitar and now the whole India gets to witness their amazing performance. I still get goosebumps when I think about that day. Sweating and head banging to glorifying Maiden numbers. \m/
